Syed Ijtaba, also known by his middle name Hasan, is a filmmaker-author who tells stories of people standing at the crossroads of ambition, identity, and belief.

He studied at Bishop Westcott Boys’ School, Namkom, St. Xavier’s College, Ranchi, and Hindu College, Delhi. He began his creative journey in cinema, working with eminent filmmakers before directing his feature film India Phir Bhi No. 1. His years in cinema taught him to tell stories through images; books allow him to explore the inner worlds those images cannot capture.

Between Love & Power is his first book and the first in the Naina & the Brahmin Master Series, inspired by real-life events and shaped by his enduring fascination with spirituality, identity, and physics.

He lives in Ranchi with his family.
